2012 NEW CONTEST FORMATS

Starting in 2012 the WSA is using a new format, a point system per contest that will give us our National Champions and go towards our country rankings to pick the Team to travel to future World Events. There will be 4 major events on the East Coast. 3 will run on the standard point system yet to be put forward and the 4th will be our National shootout, a AAA event which means triple the points.

With this new format it will encourage competitors to enter more than just the main event, you will have to have entered at least 1 event to qualify for the AAA. All the points will go towards seeding for all events. You will hold the 2 highest points from the 3 events to go into the seeding of the AAA. They will be added and divided by 2 for an average. This will ensure that the AAA will be properly seeded depending on your performance during the year. The top 10 Open Riders and top 4 divisionals will carry points to the next compettion year, a reward for their efforts.

For interstate competitors who don't have any state events and cannot compete in any of the main rounds on the east coast will be allocated wild card points so they can qualify for the AAA. WA competitors who still run state rounds will be given points for their positions on their hightest 2 rounds so they become equal to the point system on the east coast circuit.

International contestants are welcome to all our events, they will be wild carded as guests and start in the first rounds.

Non competitors who wish to compete in World events - You will be able to compete but as an individual with no Australian ranking and not on the Australian Representing Team.

There will be more information soon on the points and how the structure works - stay tuned

Contest Draws - there will now be a standard contest draw format that will be available to contest organisers for their events, 2 different formats for the main rounds and 1 consistant for the AAA.

Head Judge - There has to be a qualified Head Judge at the AAA event and if there is funds we will be appointing them to all rounds.

Traing Events - There will also be 2 training camp events this year and 2 next year (2013) heading towards the World Titles in Brasil, more information will be supplied when we have set dates.
