The southerly swell that hit the south coast presented some challenges in finding a suitable contest break for the 21st Lakesea Classic. Competitors travelled far and wide from as far as QLD, VIC and WA.

The 5ft close outs at Durras on the Saturday meant the event went mobile to Denham's Beach in town for 2 rounds of the open division. There was a spit dinner and drinks that night so everyone could have a social get together that the Lakesea Classic is so famous for. The event continued on the Sunday at South Durras. Thanks go to the Lakesea Park for sponsorship and administration assitance, Dagger Boats for the T-Shirts, Aero Skis for Paddles to the value of $500 and Mark Buckley for organising another successful event.

This is the first event of the East Coast Ciruit and all placings will receive points towards an overall point score winner for 2008.
