When the swells not on, its always tough to get a decent roll up but eight hard core waveski riders made it down to Perigian for a pre-worlds hit out. We decided to run a man on man format with 15 minute heats best 2 waves for 12 round robin heats then semis and final. The waves were small 1ft with the odd 2 footer but there were enough waves to go around. When the waves are small it gets much harder to separate the riders but after 3 1/2 hours of surfing myself and Damian Vickery paddled out for the final. Not much in it but I took it in a close one.

Special mention to Russell Hudson for putting it all together, Karen Cambell who's ripping on her new gofast and Rob Dalla Bona for the highest heat score of the day.
